Films on the Field CANCELLED Due to Weather

Update: We are terribly sorry to report that tonight’s Films on the Field event has been cancelled due to weather conditions. It is not possible to safely show the films in conditions such as high wind.

    Original Post:

It’s time for the CAMALS (Certificate of Artistry Media Arts Lusher School) Film Festival!  There are two events available where you can see these films. Catch the premiere of the festival Wednesday, May 1, at Le Petit Theatre in the French Quarter. The next event will be our Films on the Field event on Saturday, May 18 (rescheduled from the 11th). Grab a blanket and come out to the Lusher Brees Family Field for a night of films, food and fun!

CAMALS AT LE PETIT — Wednesday, May 1 at 7 pm at Le Petit Theatre du Vieux Carre — Tickets to view these films in this historic setting ($10 each) will be sold ONLINE ONLY for this event and will be available beginning this Saturday at noon on Le Petit’s website.

“FILMS ON THE FIELD” – Saturday, May 18, beginning at 7:00 pm (films start at sundown) on Lusher’s Brees Family Field – Tickets (just $3.00) may be purchased AT THE GATE for the May 18th event; Pizza and small concessions will be sold at this event.

We will be selling CAMALS T-Shirts, pre-orders of DVDs from previous Lusher performances and comfy field blankets!

No chairs will be allowed on the field, so the blankets at $15 will be a great purchase! (Bleacher seating also will be available).

Note: The films being shown are made by high school students and designed for their peers. The films are not rated and may not be suitable for younger audiences.
