2022 Crawfish Boil (Volunteers Needed) 5/14

Yes, it’s true, it’s only three days until Boil! The inflatables, the food, the games and prizes, the beer and cokes, and of course, confetti eggs!

When and where: It’s all happening on Saturday, from 11:00 to 5:00, and we want to see you there! Boil will be held at the high school campus, and we are closing Nashville between Freret and Loyola. Entrances will be on Freret and Loyola at Nashville. Please note: Joseph entrances will be closed due to construction.

Volunteer: We can’t make all this fun happen without a lot of volunteers! We are low in the afternoon and are worried we are going to have to close down games. Please help us out! Remember that each family at Lusher is expected to contribute volunteer hours to help our school. Now is a great time to do that. Also, high schoolers can earn service hours! Sign up for a shift at https://signup.com/client/invitation2/secure/337537838025/true#/invitation

Ticketing: You’ll need a ticket to get in. If you buy ahead of time at https://bidpal.net/lcs, entrance is a dollar. If you buy at the gate, you will pay $10, but you will get $5 in food and drink tickets. When you buy online, put your student’s name and grade in to have their name pulled for prizes. Several classes have already won cookie cake and popsicle parties. Online ticket sales end Friday. You will not receive a paper ticket. Your name will be on a list at the gates.

The food: Our local family-owned restaurants are serving their delicious food, so be on the lookout for great food from restaurants like Reginelli’s, Munch Factory and Theo’s Pizza. The grill will be going on all day with good things to eat, and of course the crawfish will be boiling! Sixth and Seventh grades are competing to see which grade can sponsor the most cases of drinks. The winner will get an ice cream sundae party, so if you have a child in those grades, help out at http://bidpal.net/lcs

The bake sale: We need good things to eat at the bake sale! Please bring pre-bagged items to sell at the bake sale. Each item bagged will sell for a dollar. This is a very popular table to visit, so please plan to bring good treats!

The merchandise: Tee shirts are for sale at https://lusher-ptsa.square.site/.  You can buy ahead of time and pick up at the Freret campus on Friday afternoon starting at 4:00 PM. You can always buy at Boil too.

The fun: Merchandise, food, drinks, inflatables and games will be spread between the Quad and the closed block of Nashville. The stage will be on Nashville. We can’t wait to welcome you to this year’s Crawfish Boil!
