Donations Requested for Beloved Lusher Security Guard After Loss of Son

Letter from Lusher CEO Kathy Riedlinger

    Dear Lusher community:

I am terribly sorry to inform you that the first-born son of Lusher’s beloved Freret Street campus security guard, Ms. Tammy Herrington, was killed Sunday night in a senseless tragedy. Brandon Anthony was 37 years old.

“Ms. Tammy” has touched many lives here at Lusher –people refer to her as “Lusher’s National Treasure.” Just last week, she led the Second Line following Lusher’s high school graduation ceremony. As this sad news has spread, many have reached out and asked how they might help.

Both Lusher campuses are open through June if you would like to deliver a note of kindness to Tammy and her family.

In addition, donations toward funeral services may be made at any Hancock Whitney Bank branch in the name of TAMMY HERRINGTON FAMILY FUND.

You may also donate online via PayPal at As there is more than one “Tammy Herrington” on PayPal, please either use the link provided or search using her email, Using the link is the preferred method.

Donations may also be dropped off at either Lusher campus office (checks payable to Tammy Herrington Family Fund are preferred but cash also will be accepted).

Please consider sharing this note with graduates and others who love Tammy as we do.

We will update the Lusher community as details of funeral services are provided. Thank you for your support of this cherished member of our Lusher family.
