    Lusher Remembers Ms. Alexis

    Lusher is grieving the loss of our former Lower School teacher and Special Needs coordinator, Ms. Esther Alexis, who was in a tragic accident that occurred as she was traveling overseas.  In her time as a teacher at the JCC campus, and then at Willow, she touched the lives of families  throughout our school.

    She was an anthropologist who loved studying people and their culture. She was a good listener and because of this, made thoughtful decisions. She was a risk taker and had an adventurous spirit. Family was important to her. Ms. Alexis advocated for children. If we listen, we can still hear her wonderful laugh.

    Our thoughts and prayers are with her family, friends and former students during this difficult time.  As details regarding services/arrangements become available, we will update the Lusher community.
