Building on their creative experiences from the lower school, our middle school students begin to narrow their experiences based on affinities.  With the addition of creative writing and the expanded music options (band, orchestra, vocal and general music) to the curriculum, each student has the opportunity to explore and pursue a more individualized program of study in their preferred art forms while experiencing a few new options. As the years progress and their interests/talents become more apparent, they are afforded more time and less varied exposure by having fewer classes that meet more frequently.

Audition-based performance groups in dance, theatre, and music continue in middle school. Additionally, “Graffiti” our student-led publication highlights the visual art and creative writing produced throughout the year.
