Willow’s Arts & Innovation Camp offers age-specific pathways for young creators: ART SPARK! for rising 1st–4th graders and Arts & Innovation for rising 5th–8th graders, each designed to match students’ developmental needs while nurturing creativity, confidence, and curiosity.

ART SPARK!

Rising 1st–4th Grade

ART SPARK! is a three-week summer camp designed especially for our youngest artists, makers, and movers. Through joyful exploration and guided discovery, campers build confidence, curiosity, and creative habits that last.

Students rotate through 12 different classes over the course of the program, experiencing a wide range of activities in visual art, music, theatre, movement, media arts, and hands-on innovation. Campers are placed in age-based groups that move together throughout the day, creating a supportive and consistent learning environment

ART SPARK! is built around guided exploration and joyful discovery.

Course offerings rotate by week and vary based on enrollment, staffing, and student interest. Final course lists will be shared prior to the start of camp.

Create
Hands-on visual art experiences that explore materials, color, texture, and design through drawing, painting, sculpture, and printmaking.

Move & Play
Creative movement, dance, theatre games, and martial arts that build coordination, confidence, and expressive freedom.

Make & Explore
STEAM-based activities that introduce innovation through building, problem-solving, recycled materials, and simple design challenges.

Imagine & Perform
Storytelling, music, puppetry, and dramatic play that help students develop voice, imagination, and collaborative skills.

Rising 5th–8th Grade

What Arts & Innovation Campers Experience

Arts & Innovation for rising 5th–8th graders is designed for students ready to explore their interests with greater depth and independence. Campers select immersive courses and spend extended time developing skills, projects, and creative voice in a studio-style environment.

Students select immersive courses by week and spend extended time in each class, allowing for deeper exploration and project development.

Course offerings rotate by week and vary based on enrollment, staffing, and student interest. Final course lists will be shared prior to the start of camp.

Perform & Produce

Theatre, music, dance, and spoken word experiences that focus on performance, collaboration, and creative expression.

Design & Create

Visual art and design experiences that emphasize creative process, concept development, and personal style. Students explore a range of materials and approaches while building skills in making, designing, and refining original work.

Media & Technology

Creative technology and digital storytelling experiences that blend imagination with technical thinking. Students experiment with interactive media, visual storytelling, and emerging tools while learning how technology can support creative expression.

Innovate & Engineer

Robotics, architecture, STEAM challenges, maker projects, and design thinking experiences that promote experimentation and problem-solving.
