    Post Diluvian: 59 New Lusher Scholars Recognized for ’18-’19

    The below passage is an excerpt from this article by our student newspaper, the Post Diluvian:

    At the December assembly, a record-breaking 59 Lusher Scholars were recognized for their accomplishments.  This is compared to 35 Scholars from the Class of 2018, 34 from the 2017 senior crop, and 47 from the class of 2016.

    Beginning in eighth grade, potential scholars start taking AP courses in multiple disciplines, are engaged in Certificates of Artistry, PLTW, or BioMed programs, and often take Tulane concurrent courses while maintaining high cumulative GPAs.  

    Students are nominated in the fall of their senior year and reviewed by a selection committee before receiving the distinction.  Lusher Scholar is Lusher’s highest academic honor.
