Applicants in all admissions rounds complete the assessment in person at The Willow School on one of our school campuses. Students will be assigned an assessment date, time, and location after completing the Supplemental Admission Form (SAF) or in subsequent rounds of admissions, the Spring Round Reactivation Form or Summer Round Reactivation Form, as applicable.

The Willow School reserves the right to remove, move, or add additional assessment dates if needed based on capacity.

If for any reason, the applicant is unable to be assessed on their scheduled date, only one makeup date will be offered. Applicants who cancel or reschedule their assessment less than one week from the test may reschedule one time.

Students who miss the assessment will not be automatically rescheduled. It is the responsibility of the parent/guardian to notify the Admissions Office about the need for a makeup assessment as soon as possible following the missed assessment date. Failure to notify the school will result in forfeiture of the assessment make-up opportunity.

In each assessment round, there is a deadline to schedule for the final assessment date. Requests to complete the assessment on the last assessment option made after 11:59pm on this deadline cannot be accommodated.

Missed assessments can NOT be made up if the assessment date missed is the final testing date.

Students receive accommodations during school testing for a variety of reasons, primarily to ensure that they have an equal opportunity to demonstrate their knowledge and abilities. These accommodations are typically provided to students with documented disabilities or special needs, as mandated by laws like the Individuals with Disabilities Education Act (IDEA). Accommodation requests and supporting documentation must be received by 11:59pm on the deadline noted for each assessment date in the tables on this page. Documents will not be accepted after these deadlines. Please contact the Admissions Office if you need help.

All applicants to grades K-12 complete the assessment in person at The Willow School on one of our school campuses. Students will be assigned an assessment date, time, and location after completing the Supplemental Admission Form (SAF). Assessment dates become available in the Supplemental Admission Form on a rolling basis throughout the Main Round.

Kindergarten applicants will be assessed individually at the lower school campus. Assessments will take place on Saturdays. Families will indicate their preferred assessment date through the Supplemental Admission Form. After submitting the SAF and the required birth certificate, families will be assigned a date to test and will sign up for a 30-minute assessment appointment at a convenient time on that date. Morning and afternoon testing appointments are available.

Applicants to grades 1-4 will be assessed in a group setting at the lower school campus. Families will indicate their preferred assessment date through the Supplemental Admission Form. Each child’s assessment date and time will be confirmed via email.

Applicants to grades 5-12 will be assessed in a group setting at the high school campus. Families will indicate their preferred assessment date through the Supplemental Admission Form. Each child’s assessment date and time will be confirmed via email.
