Willow Creative Writing senior Theo Santanilla was a semi-finalist for the National Student Poets Program! Theo’s poem “Rosedale Road Louisiana” was one of 2,000 poems chosen out of 37,000 submissions, and Theo was one of just 50 students in the U.S. chosen to be a semi-finalist. Readers from the National Student Poets Program called him "wildly talented”. Theo’s creative nonfiction “Six Things I Learned About the Last Time I Evacuated” piece placed 2nd in the Historic New Orleans Collection Student Writing Contest earlier this year.
