Summer Round Admissions Assessment Calendar
Families can apply (or reapply) for grades with available seats or a short waitlist after Main Round and Spring Round. See next steps to apply this summer on the application process page.
Grades 3-12 Assessment Dates
Applicants to grades 3-12 will be assessed in a group setting at the Middle School campus (5625 Loyola Avenue). Each child’s assessment date and time will be confirmed via email.
Assessment Date | Deadline to Submit Paperwork for Accommodations (if applicable) | Assessment Location |
---|---|---|
Saturday, July 27 | Wednesday, July 17 | Middle School Campus |
Students may only take the assessment once per admissions period. The Willow School reserves the right to remove, move or add additional assessment dates if needed to meet capacity.
Makeup Dates
The only assessment day for the Summer Round is July 27. There is no alternate or makeup assessment day. If your child cannot attend the assessment in person at Willow on July 27, they cannot take the assessment during Summer Round.
Assessment Reporting
Suspected testing irregularities should be reported immediately. If you believe that your child has experienced a testing irregularity that would impact their score, it must be reported to The Willow School admissions office by emailing either LowerAdmissions@willowschoolnola.org (for grades K-4) or UpperAdmissions@willowschoolnola.org (for grades 5-12) within two school days of the administration of the assessment.
Assessment Accommodations
Accommodation requests and supporting documentation must be received by the registration deadline noted in the tables above. Please contact the Admissions Office if you need help.
Students receive accommodations during school testing for a variety of reasons, primarily to ensure that they have an equal opportunity to demonstrate their knowledge and abilities. These accommodations are typically provided to students with documented disabilities or special needs, as mandated by laws like the Individuals with Disabilities Education Act (IDEA).
The Willow School provides accommodations to students who submit the appropriate documentation by the posted deadline. If a student wishes to request accommodations for the eligibility assessment, The Willow School must receive a copy of the current Individualized Education Plan (IEP), Individualized Accommodations Plan (IAP) or 504 plan, or an evaluation before the registration deadline of their scheduled assessment date (see assessment calendar). Families must meet this deadline so the Willow School team can get the accommodations in place for the assessment.
