Mr. Hausman and Mr. Barrau were joined by an all star band Monday morning to help put us in the holiday spirit! The band - including Mr. Hughes, Mr. Laufer, Mr. Wilkinson, and Mr. Watson - performed "You're a Mean One, Mr. Grinch" and "Run Rudolph Run." It was a perfect morning of dancing and singing and fun!

This holiday season, Kindergarten and 4th Grade Buddies worked together to support Take Paws Rescue. Take Paws Rescue is a volunteer, foster-based, non-profit rescue group based out of New Orleans. Take Paws finds animals loving foster families as they await a forever home. The kindergarten and 4th grade buddies wrote notes of appreciation and encouragement that foster families will receive when they take in a foster animal. With the help of our families, they also collected tons of items for foster families as well as to be used at Take Paws' Stray Café. On Friday afternoon, Take Paws volunteers and foster dogs: Oogie Boogie, Muffin, and Lil Bit visited with them to share about their organization and collect the students' letters and donations!!

From Nurse Jo: With fun activities such as sleepovers and playdates, unfortunately come increased cases of lice. Please check your children’s heads when you get a lice notification letter and when you notice, or they tell you, that they have an itchy head. School breaks are an excellent time to do some spot checks. If your child is found to have lice, please notify me. Once treated they may return to school but should come to me for a re-check
