Science

Students in Ms. Svoboda's 5th grade science class are continuing to explore chemical reactions. The students were introduced to acids, a group of substances with a reputation for being reactive. They used two ways to detect acids: baking soda, which fizzes when mixed with acids, and liquid from black beans soaked in water.  It is amazing to see the color changes when mixed with acids! Next, they used those methods to identify common foods that are acidic.  These scientists are hard at work on their new scientific discoveries!
