The Willow Middle School

Willow fifth-grade students Dongchen, Leo, and Oliver, along with sixth-grade students James and Avyan, competed in the Metairie Park Country Day Math Tournament. This was our first year participating in this event. Representing our Math Counts Team, the students took part in both individual and team rounds, each consisting of 10 challenging Math Olympiad–style problems to be completed in 30 minutes. Leo W. earned 1st place in the individual competition, correctly solving 8 out of 10 problems. The team also achieved an outstanding 1st place finish overall. We are incredibly proud of these students and their dedication to mathematics. Special thanks to Ms. Hardy-Young for her hard work and commitment in preparing the team!
