Louisiana Science Teacher Association (LSTA) recently shared their August newsletter Laser. Willow Middle School visual art teacher Ms. Bagneris and 7th grade science teacher Ms. Sanchez were featured in the newsletter. Last year, Ms. Bagneris and Ms. Sanchez collaborated on a special arts integration project using tree core samples. They worked with LSU scientists to learn more about tree core samples and created an incredible piece of artwork that is on display at our MS campus.
In addition, Ms. Sanchez was also featured in Laser for her work with the LA Sea Grant. Last summer, she attended the National Marine Educators Association (NMEA) annual conference in Bellingham, WA. She presented with other Louisiana teachers during the conference and attended the chapter meeting for the Southern Association of Marine Educators.
