Willow School 9th grade student Aubrey Smith recently represented the school as a student performer at the 2026 Plain Talk About Literacy and Learning Conference, one of the nation’s largest and most respected literacy events.
As part of the program, Aubrey had the honor of introducing keynote speaker Dr. Karen Mapp, professor at Harvard University and a nationally recognized expert in family and community engagement in education. Aubrey delivered the introduction in front of an audience of more than 3,200 educators, researchers, and literacy leaders from across the country.
