Thank you to all the players and parents who came out for yesterday's golf Match vs. Country Day. This was the first match the Willow MS Golf team has hosted and it was a resounding success. Special thank you to our parent chaperone/scorekeepers - Nate Allen, Israel Finger, and Mike Harvey.
Some highlights:
Willow won the match by 12 strokes! Typically winners of matches like these are determined by adding up the top four scores of each team - lowest score wins. Willow shot a 39, 41, 44, 44 = 168. Country Day shot a 39, 44, 48, 49 = 180.
The top four finishers who counted toward our winning match score were Clyde Ripski 39(+3), David Sims 41(+5), Landon Hayes 44(+8), and James Allen 44(+8).
Clyde Ripski tied for the top score of the day shooting 39 (+3)!
Elwyn Harvey was the top female finisher and 9th place overall, with 47 (+11)!
All of the 13 Willow players finished (+15) or better, which is pretty incredible for a middle school team of our size, with many of our players being 5th and 6th graders!
