
Come out and support the V Boys Soccer team as we take on District rival Ben Franklin in the soccer version of the Nerd Bowl, this time with a semi-final appearance on the line! Kickoff is set for tomorrow, Tuesday, 2/11, at 5:30pm at Brees Family Field! We hope to see you there!


Willow High School Certificate of Artistry Visual Arts (CAVA) students' works were installed last week at Phelps at Canal Place. Their pieces will be on display throughout the Super Bowl festivities. We will have a reception Tuesday, Feb 25, 5-6:30. Family, friends, and faculty are welcome to attend. The Phelps office is located at 365 Canal St. in the Office Tower of Canal Place, 20th floor. Wonderful work from these artists!




On Friday Jan. 17, Ms. Dayeh's 8th and 9th grade advisory visited the Freret Street Starbucks to thank the baristas for working so hard to continually support the Willow student community. Advisees each wrote individual thank you cards with gratitude messages and stickers. The surprised Starbucks staff accepted the cards with smiles.


Thanks to everyone who came out to the Generations Jam to support the Willow Symphonic Band as they prepare to compete at Festival Disney this April! We raised more than $9,000 to help ensure that every student will be able to attend the Disney trip regardless of financial need. Over the winter break, the band also had the opportunity to entertain shoppers at the Riverwalk with a festive performance.

Members of Willow High School's chapter of the National Honor Society braved the cold to pick up trash around campus and the Willow neighborhood for Heart & Soul Week.

Last Friday, Jan. 10, poet James Miller Robinson (grandfather of student, O. Laurence) spoke to students in Ms. Lee's English 3 Honors class in the library. He shared several of his poems and fielded questions about his process and craft from students.


After an enthusiastic welcome from motivational music educator Dr. Tim Lautzenheiser, these three Willow singers were off to their first honor choir rehearsal with their LMEA All-State ensembles.

This past weekend our Willow Sailing Team competed in the Sugar Bowl Regatta at Southern Yacht Club with 7 other teams from New Orleans and Mississippi. Sailors L. Christopher, M. Gill, E. Parks, O. McGowan, C. Nieuwenhuizen, R. Hutchins, and L. Marino placed 3rd out of 8, over all other New Orleans teams! This was a great way to end the fall season!





Willow middle and high school dancers are performing tonight, Friday(12/6) at 7 pm, and Sunday(12/8) at 2pm, at Willow's own Goldring Center at the lower school. Admission is free but please reserve your seat at the "Buy Tickets" links on our website. Seats are limited.


The Willow Boys JV/V Soccer teams take on Brother Martin this evening at Brees Family Field! JV kicks off at 5pm, with Varsity to follow at 7pm. The Varsity is looking to continue their unbeaten streak that dates all the way back to January 2023, so come out and support if you're able!!

Congratulations to three Willow High School students who auditioned for and were selected to sing in ACDA's (American Choral Directors Association) National Honor Choirs: C. Brown, L. Clancey and L. Haysley. Competing against more than 5,000 students across the country, they were selected to sing with the top 300 singers in their division. They will travel to Dallas, TX, in March for four days of rehearsals with other top choral students in the nation. Their culminating concert performance will be in the Dallas Arts District in front of thousands of choral directors.

Willow Volleyball had a fantastic season. We concluded our season in the playoffs against St Thomas More Catholic School. These athletes have grown so much over the season, with some members of our team placing in the State top 150 for stats. Thank you players and coaches for your hard work and dedication this season as made this year a great success. We can't wait to see all our fans next year!
