Two more 4th grade TAT students talked with Ms. Sessum's 2nd grade class for Thankful Thursday. Among other things, they were thankful for: PlayStation, sports, Ms. Tara, Ms. Sessum, Harry Potter, major league baseball, puppies, summer break, video games, our beautiful school, Fortnite, friends, family, this amazing spring weather, sons, and sisters.
Mr. Barrau and the Honors Chorus sang for us on Thursday, the song made famous by Louis Armstrong - "What a Wonderful World." It was a wonderful way to start our day!

Mr. Hausman and Ms. Oliver's third grade class performed at Morning Meeting recently, playing and singing to "Each of Us Is a Flower" - what a wonderful way to start the day!
The 4th grade TAT students led Thankful Thursday today, checking in with some exploratory teachers. They were thankful for their students, kids, families, getting the day off last week for the rain storm, the Willow School, and dancing at Morning Meeting!
Insectarium visit!
Kindergarten visited the planetarium! Lots of fun!
Ms. Maloney's class spent Thursday morning at Poydras Home. They worked with some of the residents to make treats for dogs at the SPCA.




Dr. Craig Lotterman, Nurse Jo's husband and a doctor of pediatric hematology and oncology, came this morning to talk to us about how grateful he is for our work raising money for the Leukemia and Lymphoma Society. He shared how it helps kids just like us and how much they need it. Thanks, Dr. Lotterman!
Elementary students were looking forward to seeing the eclipse, but the clouds were taking up most of the sky. We were prepared and hopeful, though!
Willow School Blood Drive--April 25, from 9-2. The bloodmobile will be parked in the front of the high school campus.

Two fourth grade TAT students took the reins for Thankful Thursday this week, visiting with Ms. Carney's 4th grade class. They were thankful for, among many other things: cats, little brothers, goat cheese, kindergarten buddies, instant ramen, fried chicken, crawfish, family, friends, teachers, denim jackets, fourth grade team, and the opening day of baseball season!

More fun at the Boil!
Gifford Riess, this year's Principal for a Day, spent the day with Ms. Clogher and Ms. Murry. They did tours with prospective parents, classroom observations, read to kindergarteners, ate lunch in the office, helped with lunch duty and with Aftercare preparations. She even led a fire drill with Ms. Clogher. She said the most interesting part of her day was lunch duty because she was able to pick the tables who were following the rules. She had a great day!


Let’s “Boil like it’s 1984!" It’s the 40th anniversary of our crawfish boil and this year we’re going BIG!! Come join us at the middle school campus (5625 Loyola Avenue) on Sunday, March 24, and help us celebrate 40 years of food and fun! We will have student performances, live bands, games, prizes, inflatables, and food and beverages!

Mr. Barrau and Ms. Balsamo's second graders sang "Go the Distance" from Hercules, reminding us that hard work and perseverance help us grow and change. Thanks for a beautiful performance!
