More fun at the Boil!

Gifford Riess, this year's Principal for a Day, spent the day with Ms. Clogher and Ms. Murry. They did tours with prospective parents, classroom observations, read to kindergarteners, ate lunch in the office, helped with lunch duty and with Aftercare preparations. She even led a fire drill with Ms. Clogher. She said the most interesting part of her day was lunch duty because she was able to pick the tables who were following the rules. She had a great day!

Let’s “Boil like it’s 1984!" It’s the 40th anniversary of our crawfish boil and this year we’re going BIG!! Come join us at the middle school campus (5625 Loyola Avenue) on Sunday, March 24, and help us celebrate 40 years of food and fun! We will have student performances, live bands, games, prizes, inflatables, and food and beverages!

Fourth grade students completed a research project to celebrate Black History Month. The goal was for students to make a connection with a person who has solved problems and overcome obstacles; students were able to choose a person from a provided list or select an individual from their lives such as a family member, friend, or community member. Students created presentations to tell their selected person’s story to others and they shared their work with families and community members on Thursday, March 14. Thanks for sharing, fourth graders!
