Today is the final day to apply for free/reduced lunch. You must fill out the free/reduced form to qualify for the free/reduced lunch program, even if you qualified last year. If you find you are in need at a later date you can apply then. The link to make payments to a student’s online cafeteria account and apply for free or reduced meals is www.schoolcafe.com. The district is NOLA Public Schools, which is our food service vendor. Your child's schoolcafe account number is the PowerSchool ID number with "WS" after it.

Kindergarten recently celebrated a unit on Community Helpers with some very special guest speakers. We met a doctor, nurse, coach/teacher, police officers, mail carrier, fire fighter, and a construction worker. Thank you to all the family members who took time out of their day to share how they help our community!

Calling all artistic/crafty parents! Let's make a piece of art for each grade to auction off at the Soiree on Oct. 28. These artworks incorporate a mark or effort of each child in the grade (at the Williams Campus). It's a fun way to be involved in the classroom (or on the playground). (If you aren't the artistic type, you can still help with execution.) Please contact Emily Palit at emilypalit@gmail.com or 504-621-3853 if you want to help out with your child's grade.

Ms. Mitchell checked in with Ms. Fitzpatrick's first graders on Thankful Thursday. Some things they were thankful for were brothers and sisters, teachers, Roblox, video games, air conditioning, everything, and a wonderful community. So grateful!

You may want to allow extra travel time, as parking in the surrounding neighborhood is often tight. Please be considerate of our neighbors--do not block driveways or park close to curbs. Thank you!
