Thankful Thursday with Ms. Staes and her 2nd grade class! Thanks to our 4th grade TAT students who interview our classes. This week, we were thankful for, among other things: family, the Willow community, best friends, Halloween, Ms. Staes, dino nuggies, Fortnite, cheese, dogs, cats, pets, custodians, McDonalds, plants, air conditioning, the 2nd grade team, and Sun Rays past and present.

Happy Spirit Week! We're feeling Wacky on Wednesday!

Happy Spirit Week! The colors of the rainbow were on display and will brighten everyone's day!

Happy Spirit Week! The week is starting off with some out of this world spirit!

The Willow Spirit Week is coming the week of Sept. 30 - Oct. 4! We have designated certain days to dress up, show school spirit and have some fun:
Monday, Sept. 30 - Out Of This World Day (dress as anything space-themed)
Tuesday, Oct. 1 - Color of the Rainbow Day (wear your favorite color or the whole
rainbow, interpret as you will!)
Wednesday, Oct. 2 - Wacky Tacky Wednesday (wear mixed-matched, tacky outfit)
Thursday, Oct. 3 - Decade Day (dress to your favorite decade, any decade!)
Friday, Oct. 4 - Blue and Gold Day! (Game Ready!)

Mr. Hausman and Mr. Barrau were joined by Mr. Pigg and Mr. Mitch to get us all up and moving with "Shake It Off" on Friday! Then the fourth grade teachers led us in the Who Dat Chant on the drums. Go Saints!

Mr. Barrau and Ms. Sessum's 2nd grade class sang "Glorious" for us on Tuesday, reminding us that we're each special in our own way. What a glorious performance!

Mr. Hausman shared a double strings concert with us on Monday! Ms. Oliver and Mx. Ureta's homerooms showed off all they've learned this rotation with a fantastic performance. Bravo!

Mr. Barrau and Mr. Hausman were joined by Mr. Brooks and Mr. Harris to play "The Girl from Ipanema" for Hispanic Heritage Month. It definitely moved the students (and teachers!) to dance!

It's Thankful Thursday! Our 4th grade TAV students checked in with Ms. Agostinho's 3rd grade class and they were thankful for (among many other things): video games, parents and sisters, Willow community, Minecraft, the Olympics, Nintendo, students, and former students.

On Tuesday, Ms. Robertson's 2nd grade class helped model the movements to "This Land is Your Land" so that the whole school could join in!

Ms. Clogher recently taught us five-fingered breathing for Mindful Monday, something we can do whenever we need to take a minute and do five calming breaths. We used each finger to take a separate breath!

Thursdays are "Thankful Thursdays." Last week, the TAV 4th graders lead us in Morning Meeting! They went to the parents, who shared that they were thankful for: getting to school on time, swimming pools, wonderful teachers, the Willow community, dino nuggies, and of course, their fabulous children. Mr. Hausman and Mr. Barrau got us dancing to some Louisiana music - we're also thankful for them!
