Mark your calendar for the Lower School Book Fair! Dec. 2-6. A volunteer sign up will be shared soon.

It's Thankful Thursday! To be respectful of all sharing, we practiced clapping once for what each person was thankful for. Our wonderful fourth grade TAT student interviewed Ms. Chevalier's 1st grade Owls, and here's their thankful list: dogs, sisters, soccer, sports, moms, dads, Mrs. Chevalier, the Willow School community, lovely teachers, bugs, pizza, brothers, support from family, the amazing first grade team, and the Owl class.

We were joined by a guest performer at Thursday's morning meeting: Ms. Jenna McSwain. She, Mr. Hausman, and Mr. Barrau performed "On The Sunny Side Of The Street" and we loved dancing and singing along with them!

PINK OUT! So much pink last Thursday - many people wore pink (along with their black and gold!) to increase awareness of breast cancer. Let's do it again tomorrow!

Reminder: Willow Lower School is partnering with the Parenting Center at Children’s Hospital to offer parents/guardians resources to support their child’s success in the classroom. On Wednesday, Oct. 23 at 6pm, the Parenting Center will hold a session in the cafeteria on the benefits of establishing routines and tips on creating them. If you plan to attend, please sign up here so we can plan accordingly: https://docs.google.com/forms/d/e/1FAIpQLSdTNDxoHdp0hxSjdDR8-oACctGajNzfTUQYBylZVGO71rPf3Q/viewform
The session is expected to last approximately one hour.

Ms. Clogher talked about respect on Teaching Tuesday, reminding us that even when we disagree with someone, we can be kind. Some fourth graders helped her model respectful responses to Thankful Thursday sharing.

Mr. Hausman and his 4th grade TAM students impressed us on Monday by performing a song they wrote - wow!

Mr. Hausman and his 2nd-4th grade Advanced Violin Lagniappe class performed on Thursday, playing "Old MacDonald Had a Farm" and impressing us all. Thank you for a beautiful performance!

It's Thankful Thursday! Two fourth grade TAT students checked in with Ms. Louviere's 3rd grade class. They were thankful for: friends, family, Taylor Swift, puppies, nature, cats, food, video games, Earth, workouts, Fortnite, all of the teachers, dogs, brothers, sons, the wonderful 3rd grade team, and all of Ms. Louviere's Pandas.

Mr. Barrau and Ms. Riggle's 3rd grade homeroom amazed us last week by singing "High Hopes." Bravo, 3rd graders!

It's Thankful Thursday! Our TAT student interviewed Ms. Carney's class, who were thankful for: food, technology, TV, books, air, Kamala Harris, Papa John's pizza, family, animals, water, video games, tacos, life, root beer floats, dogs, fourth grade students, fourth grade team, and four day weekends!

Think PINK! Thursdays during October, we're wearing pink to raise awareness of breast cancer and honor survivors. We saw so much pink on Thursday!

Mr. Smith, along with some fourth grade helpers, led us in a Mindful Monday positive affirmation:
I know I can
Be what I want to be
If I work hard at it
I'll be who I want to be!

Happy Spirit Week! Blue and Gold Willow Spirit to end a fabulous week of fun!

Happy Spirit Week! What year is it?!? So many delightful decades in attendance today!
