The Willow School has again been named an "Exemplary School" by the Arts Schools Network. Ms. Neelis, our K-12 Arts Director, successfully completed the designation process on behalf of our amazing, talented student artists and staff. We are thrilled to share this honor with 13 schools nationwide who will be celebrated this fall. Arts Schools Network is a collective group of arts leaders and thought partners joined together in their pursuit to be valuable contributors in the arts learning ecosystem. Membership includes leaders from K-12 arts schools, universities, colleges, organizations and individual members from across the country. Willow first received the designation in 2014.

Here are a few reminders for MS this week:
School dismisses at 12:30pm from May 22 - 25.
Lockers need to be emptied by Tuesday, May 23.

More fun goodies for our teachers- thanks to our online tutoring program Paper for recognizing our amazing teachers!

Ms. Bagneris and Ms. Sanchez completed a culminating project for a tree core lesson. Every Team 7 student participated in this meaningful scientific and creative experience. The art installation is on display in the corridor of the Nashville side entrance.

6th grade students had a special session with local author Marti Dumas. We sincerely appreciated the visit. Students learn more about Marti Dumas' books and she gave advice to inspiring authors.

The Willow Class of 2023 were the special guests at the Lower School Morning Meeting today. We celebrated them with blue and gold spirit, special graduation hats made by the kindergarteners, and, of course, the singing of "Learning the Willow Way," led by Mr. Barrau. We all wish them well as they officially graduate next week!

Today, we celebrated the winners of our Paper Math Missions contest. Students who completed the most Math Missions activities on Paper (our online tutoring program) received lots of fun items from the company.

Today, two of our teachers received special prize boxes from Paper (our online tutoring program). These boxes were to thank them for all of their hard work with using the program with their students.

Today, we had our first-ever Arts Fest! Many of our 7th grade students made presentations from their exploratory classes for the 5th and 6th-grade students. It was a wonderful celebration of the Arts!
