Good afternoon, Middle School!
Tomorrow (Friday, Jan. 20) is the last day for our food drive. Our goal is to collect 500 pounds of non-perishable items for Second Harvest Food Bank. Thank you for all of the donations.
Today was Market Day in our 5th grade classes. Market Day is a fun, Economics-based project meant to inspire creativity while also giving students a chance to put some of the economics concepts they learned (supply/demand, producer/consumer, specialization) into practice.

Today we continued our Heart and Soul week celebrations through special recess centers.




We had so much fun at our Heart and Soul recess centers today. Thank you to our amazing PTSA for all of their help with this special project.

On Tuesday, our K- 12 faculty
and staff participated in a professional development session focused on Diversity, Equity and Inclusion. Thank you to Maroon for facilitating these important discussions.


The 7/8 boys basketball team had a great showing at the Country Day Invitational Tournament finishing in 2nd Place! They will continue their league schedule later this week. Come out and support the Lions!

We are thrilled to announce that our spring play is Box. Auditions for the play will be held next Wednesday, January 18th after school 3:35-5:30 PM.

Next week, we will collect nonperishable food items to donate to Second Harvest Food Bank to help families in need. Our goal is to collect 500 pounds of food. If we work together, we can reach this goal!
Students are building and coding secrets and safes in our 7th grade PLTW Engineering class.


Both the boys and girls 7th/8th grade soccer teams played their first home contests on the Brees Family Field!


Our 5th/ 6th grade girls basketball team had an exciting week. They played 3 games and won two of the three games. Way to go, Willow Lions!

Dr. Jurjevich's high school orchestra students performed on Thursday, Jan. 12 for our 6th and 7th graders. It was wonderful to welcome the high school students to our campus. Bravo to Dr. Jurjevich and our HS Orchestra!
In Mr. Solomon's math class, students used a deck of cards to play quantity games. The students were having fun and improving their number sense.
